Meeting called to order by: Angel Zayaz – President
Attendance: Angel Zayaz, Linda Leonard, Amanda Paschal, Marly Dombrower, Jenny Brown, Nikki Driessner
Approval of Minutes: Minutes from September meetings were approved.
- Presidents’ Report: Chicken Shack date changed.
- Treasurer’s Report:
Digger Dash donations due 10/20/17; $738.20 in expenses (plus cost of Pops $46)
Shout out made $711
Donations processed to date $2964
Western Night: Cost was $48.89; Profit $3,642.80
Budget was sent to the District
The new District software has caused issues with our account with DCSD – our school and another have been mixed up. Amanda is working to straighten it out.
Teacher grants are done for the year – $3,221,22 spent.
Spirit Wear – still waiting on silk screen invoice and waiting for the fixed items order
Halloween will be breakfast party and parade
Celebration of learning on November 15th
Food Drive – will be the week before thanksgiving but will start collecting the week before
Lock Down drill Friday
Dismissal Parking/Street issues – Met with City Engineer and Police Dept., various solutions discussed
Book Fair –Authors confirmed coming.
- Box Tops: Student Council is making box top posters. Nikki will put together a letter to the teachers explaining how much money is raised each year. Collection from Nov 1 – Feb may offer a classroom pizza party. Pick up dates will be December 21, February 21. A counting and cutting party will take place February 22 (8:45am-11am) due to high volumes at these times.
- Edukits –talking to companies to see if A-la-cart is available.
- October 23 & 24 – Chicken Shack Community Night
- November 8 – PTO Meeting

All Edukit proposals received to date were reviewed. If PTO commits by October 31st there are additional incentives. Board voted to go with Educational Products, Inc. in CO unless a better bid is received prior to October 31.
